  I’m really disappointed and traumatised with the mother baby unit. They have a single method to fit all children and don’t embrace the mother at all. So the consequence was my baby lost weight over there and early wean. I do not recommend this place if you want to have a mental health.

  St Helens Private Hospital in Hobart is a wonderfully warm and caring environment for mental health recovery. Patient services are well rounded and holistic, supported with clear evidence based clinical practice.
  
  I have had access to psychiatrists, psychologists, general practice doctors and psych nurse specialists. Treatment plans are individually tailored to a patients needs and TMS and ECT day procedures can augment these treatments if required.
  
  The hospital provided me with nutritional and health and well being support with gym facilities and access to Yoga and fitness classes as well as a qualified dietician.
  
  I was also able to enjoy music and art therapy classes in between indulging on a diverse variety of daily meal selections that are both nutritionally balanced and delicious.
  
  Through respectful and polite communication with staff patients can expect realistic and considerate outcomes to meet their expectations.
  
  Out patient programs are also available to provide continuity in after care on leaving St Helens. These programs have provided me with continued support and mentoring as I integrated back into my home settings.
  
  Personally I have found staff exceptionally responsive and attentive to my health needs I could not have asked for a better setting to heal, learn and improve my mental health.

  I have been using the services at this hospital for many years. I have always been treated with respect and understanding. All the staff are helpful and caring including the nurses, cleaning , catering and admin staff.
  I have recommended this hospital to others and will continue to do so.
  I have found the services at this hospital, especially TMS to be vital for maintaining my mental health in a positive way.

  Staff are wonderful ppl. A lot go above and beyond expectations, when they can.
  With limited resources they do there best.
  New insurance expectations feels demanding on patients and staff. 1 to 8 ratio is just not good enough. Limited group therapy.
